Fire crews have already taken calls from Ordsall, Eccles, Salford, Patricroft, Broughton and Cadishead tonight as the service live tweets throughout Bonfire Night.
Up to 12,000 people are expected to attend the free Buile Hill Park Bonfire Night celebrations tonight in Salford.
A funfair kicked off the night with crowds drawn in to the huge bonfire lit at 7pm and a 20-minute fireworks display at 7.30pm.
As celebrations around the country get underway, residents in Salford have called in concerns about, among others:
- Youths with petrol building an unsupervised bonfire out of mattresses in Ordsall
- A ‘threat of arson’ on Adelaide Street in Eccles
- A large fire in the open on Cannon Street in Salford
No-one has been reported injured at any of the incidents.
Many more calls are expected throughout the night.
