Three weeks ago SalfordOnline.com made a plea for readers to contact the police regarding the next of kin of Eccles man, Martin Kerfoot 65, who was found dead at his flat in Kemball House.
We were today contacted by Gaynor Veldhoven who at one time was a carer for Martin at Ashleigh House, Eccles who had read our appeal.
“I knew Martin for a good few years and cared for him, he was a lovely, quiet man. said Gaynor.
“I never knew him to have any relatives, I do know that he worked at ROF in Patricroft for a number of years.
“I have made enquiries and found that Martin’s funeral will be at Eccles Congregational Church, Wellington Road, Eccles at 12.30pm on Friday, 20 November, 2015.
“This will be followed by a cremation service at Peel Green cemetery at 1.40pm.
“It would be nice if any of Martin’s friends or relatives would be able to attend as it would be really sad for it to be a very quiet send off”.
So if you remember Martin please try to attend either the church or the cremation at Peel Green.
