On Tuesday 14 April David Arnold will perform work from his vast back catalogue of film scores, including James Bond and the 1994 mega-hit Independence Day.
We were amazed at the number of entries that we received for this competition, but there can be only one lucky winner.
Step forward Rachel Preston, from Worsley Road in Eccles, the first name pulled out of our fabled lucky hat.
Rachel was delighted to win, telling us: “This is a lovely surprise, it is really amazing news, and it has made my day.”
“I usually prefer music from the likes of Paul Heaton or Reverend and the Makers but at Christmas I went to The Bridgewater Hall to see a charity performance with Jason Manford and he had an orchestra backing him and I was blown away.
“I shall be inviting my friend from Blackpool to come to this concert with me and I know it will be a great night out.”
Arnold, 53, is one of the country’s most influential and successful composers and as well as playing keyboard and guitar live on stage, will share insights into the world of a Bond film composer and songwriter.
He performs at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on Tuesday 14 April. Buy tickets online here.
