Three people, including a 14-year-old girl, were treated for injuries after a crash on Cromwell Road in Eccles.
Police, fire crews and an ambulance were called to the narrowed residential street on Saturday night at 10.55pm.
They found two cars, a Renault Clio and a Ford Mondeo, had collided head-on.
Two girls, age 14 and 19 in the Clio, and the male driver of the Mondeo, were treated at the scene by paramedics.
The younger of the two girls is understood to have suffered a broken jaw in the collision.
Greater Manchester Police said that no arrests were made at the scene but that enquiries were ongoing.
