The Christie has written to patients to reassure them that despite proposed strike action by junior doctors, their appointments on Tuesday 1st December, Tuesday 8th December and Wednesday 16th December will still be taking place unless they have been notified otherwise.
Roger Spencer, Chief Executive of The Christie said: “While some of our staff may be taking part in the industrial action, we can confirm that all patient appointments on 1st December, Tuesday 8th December and Wednesday 16th December will be going ahead unless otherwise notified.
“Our main priority is to ensure continuity of patient care, however we envisage that some patients may experience delays in some clinics. We will do our very best to keep these delays to a minimum, and staff will keep patients informed of any impact this may have on their appointments.”
