67-year-old woman in serious condition at Salford Royal after being hit by Audi


Police are appealing for witnesses after a 67-year-old woman was hit by a car leaving her in Salford Royal hospital with serious head, leg and pelvis injuries.

At around 7.25pm on Friday 4 December 2015 the woman was walking south on Derbyshire Lane heading towards Larne Avenue in Stretford when she was struck by a black Audi A4.

The woman suffered a bleed on the brain, fractures to both of her legs and multiple pelvic fractures.

She taken to Salford Royal Hospital, where she remains in a serious condition.

Sergeant Paul Higgins, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This woman sustained some very serious injuries as a result of this collision.

“We are investigating exactly how this woman came to be hit by this vehicle, and any witness accounts we can gather will greatly assist us in that investigation.
