Clothing, construction and finance firms take space at Salford’s Magnetic House

Three new firms have taken space at Magnetic House on Salford Quays, commercial property agents Canning O’Neill report.

Irish clothing company Portwest Clothing and Manchester-based Interserve Construction have taken 1,716sq ft and 1,798sq ft respectively on the second floor on five-year leases.

Financial services company Wilson Tarquin, has signed up to 1,762sq ft on the first floor.

The news comes a month after telephone and unified communications provider, Solar Communications relocated from Cody Court off South Langworthy Road, to take a suite of 4,067sq ft on the first floor.

Owned by TH Real Estate, on behalf of a German client, Magnetic House comprises 21,000sq ft of office accommodation over three floors and is one
of five buildings that make up ‘Media Village’, offering over 120,000sq ft of commercial space.

The Village is home to organisations including Guardian Media Group, Bibby Factors and Helly-Hansen.

Mark Canning of Canning O’Neill, joint agents for the scheme with Cushman & Wakefield, commented: “Media Village is now generating very good interest,
in line with general increased demand for offices in Salford Quays.”

The ink is also drying on a number of new Media Village deals which are expected to be announced early next year, say Canning O’Neill.

Media Village is managed by MJ Mapp.
