Eccles dairy Creamline hits staggering £100k fundraise for St Ann’s Hospice

Creamline Dairies has reached the stunning milestone of raising £100,000 for St Ann’s Hospice.

The family business, which has its main bottling and production plant in Winton, Eccles, launched a local lottery scheme in 1990 with the aim of raising money for deserving local causes.

Creamline’s donations this year included ‘Pay for a Day’: an initiative set up by the hospice that calls on companies or individuals to cover the cost of 24 hours of care at St Ann’s.

Rachel McMillan, Acting Chief Executive at St Ann’s Hospice, said: “At St Ann’s we’re grateful for each and every donation, so to receive such continued support from a local company is amazing.

“St Ann’s has to raise £16,000 each day to continue to provide the highest quality care to the people who need it most, so we depend on companies such as Creamline to help us raise the money we need to support people in Salford and beyond.”

Creamline hit the six-figure sum this December.

Joint managing director Rob Purvis said: “Over the years we’ve experienced firsthand the inspiring work that St Ann’s Hospice does for those that need it most, which makes reaching £100,000 so significant and we’re delighted that we could raise such a sum of money.

“As a company we’re committed to supporting local charities whenever possible, which is why we first set up the dairy local lottery scheme, so we can continue to support incredible charities.”

Opening its doors over 40 years ago, St Ann’s Hospice provides care for thousands of patients and their families and carers each year across Greater Manchester, who are affected by life-limiting and terminal illness.

Along with its support of St Ann’s Hospice, Creamline’s long-established independent local lottery scheme and donations direct from the dairy award tens of thousands of pounds a year to local good causes including, Cre8, The Message, and local community groups like the Girl Guides.

Customers can buy lottery tickets for just 20p either online or with their regular order.
