The Christmas weekend is almost upon us once again and because there’s so many events on in Salford we’ve had to extend Top 5 things to do to a Top 8.

Charity Music Night – Friday 18 December – 7pm – Late

Call into the Old Pint Pot on the Crescent Salford for what promises to be a stunner of a night with live music from The Things, Benefit State, Chris Flynn, The Ascension, poetry by Salford’s own Jimmy Twamley, raffles, prizes and all for good causes in Salford what more could you ask for?

Sleeping Beauty – Saturday 19 December – Doors open 1.30pm for Matinee performances | 6.30pm for Evening performances

Support your local theatre with a visit to the Salford Arts Theatre, Kemsing Walk, Liverpool Street and watch the classic pantomime, Sleeping Beauty.

This years extravaganza will see the princess prick her finger and fall in to a 100 year slumber to become The Sleeping Beauty. Come along to boo and hiss at the evil fairy godmothers she tries to thwart the handsome prince.

Thrills, spills and map cap characters complete the story of ‘Sleeping Beauty’

Eccles Teenage Market- Saturday 19 December – 10am to 4pm

Popular market in Eccles Precinct where young people make and sell their wares, Includes cakes, gifts, jewellery, food and drink.

Magical Christmas Gardens – Saturday 19 December – 10am to 12pm

Somewhere in the Clifton Country park there’s a magical miniature garden just waiting for you to make! Come and join the Ranger in the search for natural materials and then create your own tiny little garden which the elves would love to live in.

Please dress warmly.

Winton Park Santa Run- Saturday 19 December – 11am to 12pm

This a wonderful excuse to put on that Santa outfit and jingle, jangle and jog around this ward winning park, one hour of Santa madness suited to everybody who love Santa!

Pathways are uneven. Dress as the big man! or Mrs Santa if you prefer!
