Chiquitos Salford sign sponsorship deal with Salford Red Devils

Mexican restaurant Chiquitos on Salford Quays has signed a one-year sponsorship deal with Salford Red Devils.

The two parties have signed an undisclosed 12-month deal which will see the restaurant’s brand name advertised on display hoardings around the AJ Bell Stadium, as well as in matchday programmes.

As well as the first team, the sponsorship deal covers the Salford Red Devils Under 16s, Under 19s and Academy teams.

Insiders would not be drawn on the size of the deal, but similar brand-only sponsorships have been struck with other Super League clubs for amounts in the region of five figures.

Chiquitos is owned by The Restaurant Group, who also own Italian American restaurant chain Frankie and Benny’s and the Brunning & Price pub chain, which has branches at Castlefield and Worsley Old Hall.

The official launch of the tie-up takes place tomorrow at 11.30am at Chiquitos on Salford Quays with a signed shirt handed over to the players, with a little bird telling us they’ll be dressed in sombreros and moustaches…

Fans who have signed up to the Salford Red Devils membership card will also get a 20% discount on meals at Chiquitos as part of the deal.
