Police are appealing for witnesses after two men attempted to rob a dental practice in Salford.
At around 3:20pm on Tuesday 22 December 2015, two men entered a dental practice on Eccles Old Road, Salford and attempted to steal cash from a cash tin but were unable to find where it was kept.
Whilst the men were searching, a staff member was able to press a panic button which prompted the offenders to attempt to leave but the front door had become locked.
The offenders then threatened to stab the staff member unless they were let out of the building.
Fearing for her safety, the member of staff ushered them out of a rear door before they ran off across Eccles Old Road and into Buille Hill Park.
The first offender is described as a white man in his early 20’s, between 5ft 8in and 5ft 9in tall, of skinny build and spoke with a Salford accent. He was wearing a blue track suit with the hood up and a black balaclava type mask.
The second offender is described as a white man with pale skin, in his early 20’s, between 5ft 8in and 5ft 9in tall with strawberry blonde shaved hair, eyebrows and eyelashes and spoke with a Salford accent. He was wearing a navy blue tracksuit with Adidas written on the hood in white letters and he had a black scarf covering his nose and mouth.
Detective Constable Paul Reynolds of GMP’s Salford Division said: “We are keen to speak to anybody who may recognise the descriptions of the men and believe that they may have seen them around the time the incident took place.
“You may have seen or spoken to these men and not have thought anything of it at the time but if you believe you have any information at all that can assist us then please contact the police.”
