Pictured: Police hunt ‘dangerous’ woman who terrorised staff in Salford robbery

Police have issued CCTV images of a woman they want to speak to in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store in Salford.

At around 7.45pm on Friday 10 April a woman entered the Nisa store on Folly Lane in Swinton and pulled a hooked metal bar from under her top.

She threatened the staff behind the counter and made off with the contents of the cash drawer, about £130 in total.

The offender then ran from the shop and off towards Worsley Road.

Police would also like to speak to the three people who were parked in a blue convertible Vauxhall Astra outside the shop at the time of the robbery.

A man and two women were sat in the car, which had its roof down.

Detective Constable Will Hardman said: “The terrified victim was convinced that she would be hurt by this offender, who thankfully was happy to just take the money and run.

“The woman in the CCTV images will hopefully be recognisable to someone, and I would urge anyone with information to help us take this potentially dangerous woman off the streets so she cannot terrorise anyone else.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
