Merseyside Police are appealing for information after a baby was found abandoned in Southport last night, Thursday 16 April.
Emergency services were called at 6.50pm to Silcock’s Amusement Arcade on Nevill Street, Southport to a report staff had found a baby abandoned inside the disabled toilets.
Police officers attended and took the baby, a new born girl, to Ormskirk Hospital where she is being cared for by staff who have named her April. She is safe and well.
Officers are now very keen to trace April’s mother.
