The Christie Hospital has been forced to assure patients that appointments for outpatients on Wednesday 10 February and Thursday 11 February during the Junior Doctor Strike will take place as normal ‘unless notified’.
The Christie has written to patients to reassure them that despite proposed strike action by junior doctors from 8am on Wednesday 10 February to 8am on Thursday 11 February; their appointments will still be taking place unless they have been notified otherwise.
Roger Spencer, Chief Executive of The Christie said: “While some of our staff may be taking part in the industrial action, we can confirm that all patient appointments will be going ahead unless otherwise notified.
“Our main priority is to ensure continuity of patient care; however we envisage that some patients may experience delays in some clinics. We will do our very best to keep these delays to a minimum, and staff will keep patients informed of any impact this may have on their appointments.”
Any patients with queries or concerns about their appointment on either of the dates mentioned can contact The Christie on the following numbers;
