Irlam Live: Irlam’s biggest ever festival coming this summer

Courtesy of three local event promoters from Irlam, one of the biggest outdoor festivals ever to hit Salford is on the way.

Irlam Live, organised by Staged Events, will bring legends from the worlds of pop and soul right to your doorstep.

The three-day event will see some of the biggest and best acts ever to grace Prince’s Park.

Did you know that the beautiful park has its own tree-lined natural amphitheatre?

It’s the perfect stage for thousands of people to come and enjoy top acts in a tranquil setting, right in the heart of Irlam, off Liverpool Road.

There’ll be fab food and drink on offer, supplied by two local craft breweries, First Chop, and Seven Brothers, and multi-award winning street food traders.

The fun kicks off on Friday 3 June with ‘Fake Friday’, where the country’s finest tribute bands take to the stage.

Bon Giovi, State of Quo, Tony Lewis as Robbie Williams, and Supreme Queen will get the place rocking for a fun Friday evening.

Just confirmed for Saturday is the amazing headliner Billy Ocean.

Tickets are available now at the Irlam Live website

Billy has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and scored a string of international hits including ‘Get Outta My Dreams, Get into My Car’, and ‘When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going’.

Sunday will be time to get your gladrags on as 80s pop legends take to the stage.

In a show that’s sure to bring the house down you’ll see T’Pau, the Bay City Rollers featuring Les McKeown and then the main event: headliner Tony Hadley.

Organiser Darren Goulden told SalfordOnline.com: “It’s a dream, really, to be able to bring this huge festival to Irlam.

“The biggest thing ever to come here were the Salford Jets in 1979, and nothing since!

“The park, and the amphitheatre, are wonderful resources that we’ll finally be able to show off with Irlam Live.”
