A broken down vehicle between J16-17 has caused tailbacks as far as Worsley Roundabout.
Drivers are currently delayed by about 30 minutes as lane two is closed.
To make matters worse an accident has been reported at J15 at Wardley this incident is also still ongoing, and delays from these incidents are expected to last well into rush hour.
On top of this there is an accident at J12 just past Winton Park.
One lane is closed here due to this incident.
Drivers must expect to face unprecedented delays while these are cleared up.
Total delays between J14-18 according to Highways Agency are over 60 mins.
A third crash has just been reported between J10-11 at The Trafford Centre on the Barton Bridge.
