Gather up you single friends this Valentine’s Day!

Poll shows over half of singles will avoid going out this V-Day!

A poll of 500 singletons has found that 55% would avoid going out at night this Valentine’s weekend, presumably to avoid all those loved up couples displaying PDAs and who’s very presence reminds them of their single status. As if single people needed reminding that they are alone, there’s a national holiday to rub it in their faces!

Loose Ends, is a new app designed to be the most efficient social planning tool out there, has come up with suggestions to help singles get out of the house and enjoy this Valentine’s weekend. Loose Ends was built to connect people with their friends and make it easier than ever to find time to meet up.

1. Try something new

Interested in taking up pilates or want to learn how salsa? This weekend is a great opportunity to try something you haven’t had the confidence or time to do before.

2. Organise a ‘Galentine’s Day’

Try organising a secret Valentine with other single friends. Get together on Valentine’s day and exchange gifts – bring alcohol and this could be a night you won’t forget!

3. Pamper yourself

Create a ‘loose end’ and see if any of your friends want to join for a day in a spa. The spa is the domain of the single person – it’s good to be a little selfish every now and then so go treat yourself! Make this Valentine’s Day all about loving yourself!

4. Visit somebody

Take this time to go visit someone you haven’t seen in a while and would appreciate some company. Maybe it’s an old school friend who has recently come out of a relationship or an elderly relative. Invest this window of free time with someone who deserves it!

5. Go partying…

To an anti-Valentine’s Day themed party… Yes, they exist!
