Police appealing for the public’s help to find a missing girl have said she has been found safe and well.
Khia Lawrence, 16, was reported missing from hospital early on Tuesday 16 February.
Police issued an urgent appeal after she attended Manchester Royal Infirmary but left without being treated.
Update: As of 6.15pm on Tuesday 16 February, Khia is recorded as having been found safe.
Khia is described as black, approximately 5ft 7in tall with long black hair worn in a bun. She was wearing dark jeans and a red coat with red and black shoes.
Inspector Paul Kinrade from GMP’s South Manchester Division said at the time: “We are extremely concerned about Khia’s wellbeing and have a number of people out actively searching for her.
“Hospital staff have told us that she is seriously unwell and needs urgent treatment as soon as possible.
“It is absolutely vital that she gets to hospital as soon as soon as possible so if you have any information about her whereabouts then please get in touch with police immediately.
“Khia if you see this then please get in touch and get yourself to a hospital as soon as you can, you are seriously ill and desperately need treatment.”
