Missing teen could be with travellers say police

Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a missing 15-year-old girl from Stockport.

Demi Douglas, 15, was last seen at her home in Stockport at around 8pm on 28 February 2016.

She is described as white, of medium build, 5ft 4in tall, with long brown hair and green eyes.

She speaks with a Northern accent and was last seen wearing a black fur coat, red velour trousers and white sequined Converse pumps.

Police Sergeant Stuart McConnell of Stockport division said: “We and Demi’s family are becoming increasingly worried as Demi left without telling anyone and hasn’t been in touch since.

“We believe she may have left with a travelling community and I would urge anyone who sees Demi to contact police.

“Demi, if you are reading this you are not in trouble, and please get in touch with someone to let us know you are safe.”

Anyone with information on Demi’s whereabouts is asked to call police on 101, quoting MP/13/0076461 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
