A young child walked away unscathed after a car ended up on two wheels after crashing on a residential street in Ellesmere Park, Salford.
Multiple emergency crews were scrambled to Winchester Road, near the junction with Somerset Road, shortly before 9am this morning, Tuesday 8 March.
They found a silver Vauxhall Astra wedged against a green Peugeot 406.
North West Ambulance dispatched four vehicles to the scene from their Hazardous Area Response Team, including a Rapid Response Vehicle and an Incident Response Unit after fears a young boy in the back seat of the Astra was trapped in the car.
One eyewitness said: “I just saw it as I was walking past.
“The car was right on top of the other car.
The eyewitness added: “They closed the road but fire crews left after about 45 minutes.”
There was some confusion over who was driving at the time of the crash.
One eyewitness reported a lone female driver, while North West Ambulance said two males were in the front seats of the Astra.
All the patients were rescued from the vehicle by firefighters.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance confirmed no-one was hurt: “At 8.56am we sent our HART Team and two other ambulances to Winchester Road.
“No one was injured and no-one was taken to hospital.”
Police closed the road while they dealt with the incident, but Winchester Road has since re-opened.
