To celebrate international Dawn Chorus Day on the 1st May the Chat Moss Project are holding a Dawn Chorus Walk on Little Woolden Moss.
This will be on Saturday 30th April meeting at 6am at the New Moss Wood car park (M44 5JT).
This is about a mile from the reserve and the walk should last around 3-4 hours, dependant on the weather.
It will be led by one of their loyal volunteers- Dave Steel, they can also reserve a pair of binoculars for you, if you don’t already have some.
A Hare survey will be held on Astley Moss on Tuesday 12 April and on Little Woolden and Cadishead Moss on Wednesday 13 April, meeting at 6.30am.
They will be doing a repeat survey on Astley Moss on Tuesday 26 April; and on LWM/Cadishead Moss on Wednesday 27 April, meeting at 6.00am.
However if the weather looks to be too wet on any day, another date may have to be arranged.
These are great opportunities to walk around the site to see what wildlife can be seen and heard in the early morning – so please do get in touch if you would like further information or are intending to come to either of these activities.
