Firefighters were called to the front garden of a house in Little Hulton tonight after a caravan erupted into flames.
A garage was also ablaze by the time engines arrived.
Pictures from the scene show crews from Farnworth and Agecroft racing into the front garden to tackle the fire and bring it rapidly under control.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to dampen the flames.
Crews arrived at the house on Bridgewater Street at 6.40pm tonight, Wednesday 23 March.
One neighbour told SalfordOnline.com: “It’s literally five doors down from me.
“I heard what sounded like fireworks.
“Then my brother-in-law rang me to see what was happening because his house is directly across from it but over a field.
“The fire service arrived so quickly, it seemed to go down as soon as they got here.”
Two crews from Farnworth and one crew from Agecroft spent over an hour at the property to make sure everyone was safe.
