Police are appealing for potential key witnesses to come forward after a badly injured man was left at hospital in Manchester.
Detectives suspect the man was injured in a collision or serious incident.
Shortly before 1.30am on Friday 25 March police were alerted to the victim at Manchester Royal Infirmary who had injuries to his hips and legs.
A white 4×4 pickup, possibly a Toyota Hilux, dropped the man off at the hospital at 10.48pm and then left 15 minutes later in the direction of Rusholme.
Police are appealing to those driving the car to come forward as potential key witnesses, as they may hold vital information as to what happened to the man.
Sergeant Paul Higgins of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “A man has been admitted to hospital with serious injuries and we are conducting enquiries to establish how he came by them.
“We haven’t been able to find out from the man what happened, but the people who dropped him off at hospital may have witnessed a collision or an incident that led to him ending up in hospital.
“I would urge them to come forward as they may hold the key to finding out what happened.
“If you have any information that you would like to pass on to officers, I would urge you to get in touch as a matter of urgency.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 4741, 101, or the independent charity, Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
