Two teenage girls missing from city centre

Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of two 15-year-old girls from Manchester.

Yasmin Ashkir from the Camden Town area in London was visiting family in Manchester when she went missing with 15 year-old Mya Okoli from Ardwick.

The pair were last seen leaving Piccadilly Gardens on the 101 bus on Sunday 27 March 2016 at around 9pm.

Yasmin is described as a 15 year old Somalian female, with black curly hair, medium build, brown eyes and around 5ft tall and was last seen wearing a black Adidas bubble jacket, white jeans, black/purple Nike trainers.

Mya is described as a 15 year old black female, with long black curly hair, brown eyes, medium build, 5’7” and was last seen wearing grey tight jeans, black ankle boots with white fleece turnover tops, a black waist length jacket with a hood.

Mya also requires medication, which she does not have with her.

Numerous attempts by family and friends to contact the girls have been unsuccessful.

Anyone with any information about the girls’ whereabouts should contact police on 0161 856 6067, 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Editors note: Yasmin Ashkir and Mya Okoli, both aged 15, are no longer missing. They were both found safe and well earlier today in South Manchester
