A set of traffic lights is out in the middle of Eccles town centre.
The lights went out at the three-way junction of Corporation Road and Barton Lane at around 5pm last night, Tuesday 5 April.
They had not been fixed by 11am today, Wednesday 6 April.
It caused traffic backlogs throughout the south side of the town at rush-hour yesterday.
Traffic coming from the direction of Morrisons supermarket going towards Barton Lane was particulary heavy and backing up.

Drivers coming from Trafford Park along Barton Lane faced the same problem, many were choosing to risk turning left into Corporation Road or driving across towards Eccles Fit City.
“Drivers are taking their lives into their own hands,” said one local resident who declined to be named.
“It’s a busy enough junction already and the speed that cars are coming through thereit’s only a matter of time before there’s an accident either with a pedestrian or another vehicle.”
Transport for Greater Manchester’s Urban Traffic Control Unit have been informed and said they would monitor the situation to get a repair team out as soon as possible.
