Four candidates have been announced for the City Mayor election in Salford in May.
The candidates standing for City Mayor of Salford are (in alphabetical order):
Paul Dennett, Labour Party
Robin Garrido, Conservative Party
Owen Hammond, UK Independence Party (UKIP)
Wendy Olsen, Green Party
Each registered voter in Salford will now receive a City Mayor election booklet which contains an explanation of the voting system and information from each of the candidates.
The booklet will be delivered by post by Saturday 23 April.
Residents in the city now have until Monday 18 April to register to vote. Those who have not registered cannot vote in the City Mayor or local election.

105 candidates will be standing in the local election across the city.
In Little Hulton, voters will choose two candidates after Councillor Eric Burgoyne submitted his resignation due to ill health. People who are eligible to vote in Little Hulton will use one ballot paper to vote for the two candidates – one of which is an ordinary vacancy and one in place of Councillor Burgoyne.
The candidate in Little Hulton receiving the most votes will be elected until May 2020. The candidate with the second highest votes will fill Councillor Burgoyne’s seat until May 2018.
The election for the City Mayor will be on a different ballot paper.
The City Mayor ballot paper will be yellow and the local election ballot paper will be white.
