Manchester United star Juan Mata is to make a special appearance at Tesco Extra in Salford to promote the Match Attax football cards line.
The midfielder will meet fans and sign collectors’ products at the Pendleton Way store between 5pm and 6pm on Monday 18 April.
From 3pm there’s be the chance for eager fans to compete against one another and show off their silky football card skills.
Stuart Cowan, Store Manager for the Tesco Extra in Salford, said: “We’re thoroughly looking forward to welcoming Mata to the store.
“He’s a prolific player and we know that our customers, especially some of our younger customers who are keen Match Attax collectors, will really enjoy getting to meet him face to face and having their photo taken with him.
“It’s certain to create some real buzz in store, and I know our staff are just as equally excited to see him.”
