Two people were arrested after a driver smashed into a parked car in Little Hulton.
At around 8pm on Monday 18 April police were called to Madams Wood Road to reports that the driver of a light purple Fiat Punto was driving dangerously.
Officers found the Punto had smashed into a silver 1.6 Volkswagen Touran people carrier.
The front end of the Punto was totalled in the wreck while the rear passenger side of the Touran was damaged, but nobody was reported injured.
Kim Nolan, who owns the Touran, posted a picture of the damage done and wrote on the GMP Salford West Facebook page: “Back end of our parked car that they crashed into! Just thankful that we weren’t in it and no-one else got hurt on their rampage!”
The Punto had been spotted in Eccles earlier also driving erratically.
Two people inside the car made off on foot but were arrested nearby for driving offences and taken to Swinton police station for questioning.
Officers wrote on the GMP’s Salford West Facebook page: “Following reports of a vehicle driving dangerously on Madams Wood Road it was later located having collided with a parked car.
“Two offenders have been arrested nearby for the driving offences and a criminal offence by B Relief officers at Swinton.”
