Car crashes into Swinton shop window after three-car collision

A driver was shunted into a shop window in Swinton this morning after three cars collided at a busy junction.

At around 10.25am on Worsley Road, at the junction with Partington Lane near the A580 traffic lights, police were called to a collision between a Ford Focus, a Ford C-MAX and a Nissan Leaf.

The Nissan had gone into the shop window of what was formerly AW Fireplaces.

The road was closed temporarily while police dealt with the scene, but has since re-opened.

Greater Manchester Police said a building inspector had visited after the accident and the building was considered to be structurally sound.

No one was reported injured and no-one was arrested.
