Missing grandad Darren McGinn ‘could be sleeping rough’

Grandfather Darren McMinn is still missing and police believe he could be sleeping rough.

Desperate relatives are calling for any help in tracing Darren’s whereabouts.

Darren, 48, was last seen by relatives at an address in the Halliwell area of Bolton at around 11.30am on Monday 11 April 2016.

He was then seen later that day between 5pm and 6pm in The Sportsman Pub on Darwen Road, Bromley Cross before leaving on a pedal bike.

He is described as white, around 5ft 6in tall with short brown hair and blue eyes.

He has a tattoo of a rose on his arm and was last seen wearing a black waist length ‘wax like material’ rain coat, dark jeans and brown lace up boots.

Darren’s disappearance is completely out of character and police and his family are very concerned that he may have come to some harm.

Prior to going missing, Darren had moved out of his home on Connaught Square, Tonge Moor and spoken of possibly sleeping rough.

Detective Inspector Charlotte Cadden of GMP’s Bolton Division said: “We are very concerned for Darren’s wellbeing and despite extensive enquiries we have not been able to trace him.

“His disappearance is very out of character and we, along with his family, are worried that he may have come to some harm.

“His son is beside himself with worry and is desperate for his dad to make contact and come home and be able to see his grandson again”.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
