Workers Memorial Day – Saturday 23 April – 1pm – 3pm

The Irwell valley mining projects workers memorial day will take place at 1pm on Saturday the 23rd of April 2016 they will be meeting at the Agecroft colliery memorial to acknowledge the debt we owe to all workers who died or were seriously injured in the coal industry. All welcome.

St George’s Day – Saturday 23 April.

All over Salford people will be dressing up in traditional costumes to celebrate St George, street parties are planned and the pubs will have themed events, so what excuse do you need to enjoy yourself!

Dracula – Salford Arts Theatre – Saturday 23 April – 7.30pm

Call into the Salford Arts Theatre on Kemsing Walk for an evening of spookiness for Liz Lochheads new play of Bram Stokers classic novel is an exciting version of the primal myth, which is rich, complex and intelligent. It stays close to the original gothic tale for a thrilling night of theatre.

Bird Walk – Clifton Country Park, Saturday 23 April – 08:00 to 11:00

Have you ever wondered which birds sing as part of the dawn chorus? Join bird song expert, Steve Atkins on a morning walk in Clifton Country Park and identify the local birds and their bird song.

Graham Nash Exhibition – Saturday 23 April -10am – 4pm

Salford’s very own music superstar Graham Nash is to have his first photographic exhibition in the city of his birth opening this Saturday, 23 April 2016.

Images of Johnny Cash, Joni Mitchell, David Crosby, Jerry Garcia and self portraits are included in this not to be missed exhibition.
