Trams are unable to run between Eccles and MediaCityUK this morning after a points failure at Broadway.
Metrolink confirmed the Eccles line was experiencing technical difficulties at around 8.05am this morning, Tuesday 24 May.
Passengers are now being told they can use their tram tickets on the 10 Arriva bus between Eccles and Manchester.
Trams are currently running between MediaCityUK and Piccadilly.
Update: As of 10am there are still no trams running between MediaCityUK and Eccles in either direction.

The operator has apologised to passengers for the inconvenience.
But they say because of the First bus drivers strike – which will see over 90 per cent of the workforce at Oldham and Cheetham Hill depots walkout – there are no direct replacement buses available.
Normally if the Metrolink line fails commuters would use the 33 First bus between Worsley and Manchester Piccadilly.
This service has had to be cancelled today for the strike.
Workers coming from Manchester towards Eccles are having to get off trams at Broadway and walk the rest of their journey.
As of 8.20am the Metrolink website, which provides updates on services, was down under the weight of internet traffic.
