Teenagers posing as buyers stole for two valuable French Bulldog puppies in Little Hulton.
At around 10.10pm on Sunday 29 May the boys, thought to be 15 or 16 years old, pulled up at an elderly man’s house with a third male in a silver Volkswagen Passat.
While the breeder – who is in his 70s – was distracted, the teenagers picked up the puppies and ran off out of the man’s front door.
The two male puppies are just six weeks old.
Police believe the Passat left down Captain Fold Road.
The owner was left distraught by the theft and family and friends quickly shared the post on social media.
The boys are described as speaking with strong Irish accents.
Both are described as white and of slim build.
One was 5ft 6in tall with dark, collar-length hair, while the other was 5ft 2in with short dark hair.
Police enquiries are ongoing but anyone with any information is asked to call 101 quoting log 2624 290516, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
