Eat New York diner truck gets six-month slot at MediaCityUK

Foodies beware, Salford’s MediaCityUK has yet another style for you to try – at least for the next six months.

Landing today, Wednesday 22 June, indie street diner food truck Eat New York – emblazoned in taxi yellow – will pitch up at The Splat in front of The Greenhouse office block at Salford Quays.

It’ll serve up trendy American fare like salt beef bagels and sour dough pretzels, Monday to Friday, 11am to 7pm.

They join a cluster of ‘urban food concepts’ who’ve already made The Greenhouse their home, like The Hip Hop Chip Shop and Bombay Dabbawala.

For a half-price £3 bagel offer today the firm are asking punters to post a photo of the van on Facebook and tag Eat New York.

The Eat New York food truck operates out of the Seaford Road Industrial Estate in Salford under the company name Slosh Food & Drinks Ltd.

It was founded by young entrepreneur and current director Jonathan Leathley in 2015.

The MediaCityUK move would be the firm’s first semi-permanent spot after touring their fab food at bars, markets and festivals like Parklife and Manchester Day.

Managing director of MediaCityUK, Stephen Wild said: “Lots of people not only work at MediaCityUK, but live and visit here as well – EAT NEW YORK is a fun and interesting addition, and a perfect fit with the other bars and restaurants that are already here for people to enjoy.”
