Nine-year-old Charlotte Gee from Eccles triumphed in a long-standing Boothstown fun run that’s really got legs.
The near-annual race has been bringing the community together every summer since 1988 and is one of the town’s finest traditions.
Despite a couple of fallow years, the race was resurrected by Boothstown Residents Association, much to the enjoyment of racing fans.
Hundreds of keen runners from ages seven to 70 join up and take part in the Sunday 26 June race.
Charlotte triumphed in the multi-terrain kids’ fun run, a shortened version of the adult 5.5k and 10k races which take in grass, gravel and tarmac pathways and public rights of way.
Phil Peacock, of the Boothstown Residents Association, said: “The Wobble is a highlight of the Boothstown calendar and brings together all ages to carry out this beautiful fun run.”
In the 5.5k local resident Andy Stott powered through the single lap of the Amberhill Way playing fields to finish first in just 20 minutes.
Jade Bailey, the first woman past the line, crossed the tape in 23 minutes 02 seconds.
Triumphant in the 10k were Anthony Taylor, who won with 34 minutes 50 seconds, and the first female was Lynsey Shaw in a time just shy of 50 minutes.
SalfordOnline.com first filmed the Wobble back in 2009 with this video.
Congratulations to all the runners and keep on wobbling, Boothstown!
