Bury New Road in Higher Broughton was cordoned off to rush-hour traffic after a car collided with a motorcyclist.
Officers closed off a section of the route between Manchester city centre and Prestwich at around 5.25pm on Wednesday 13 July.
The driver of a Peugeot was involved in a collision with a motorbike.
A high-powered black bike was moved to the pavement while paramedics treated one injured man.
He was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary with injuries to his leg and ankle.
As of 6.12pm Bury New Road was still closed off between Fenney Street and Pegwell Drive.
The man’s injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
