A woman tragically killed on the A580 East Lancs Road in collision with a bus has been named as 76-year-old Maureen Bradshaw.
Maureen, from Swinton, was crossing the busy road on foot at around 6pm on Wednesday 20 July when she was struck by a V1 First bus carrying 50 people on board.
The crash sparked fears of a major emergency. Multiple ambulances, police and fire crews were dispatched to the scene.

The bus driver faced no sanction and no-one was arrested at the scene.
Despite being a busy road, the East Lancs sits in a highly populated area and several traumatised eyewitnesses – both in cars on the opposite carriageway and pedestrians – reported seeing the crash in real time.
