Last week SalfordOnline.com held a competition in which one lucky reader could win a pair of day tickets for Festwich, kindly donated by the Joint Veterans Alliance Group, the UK’s biggest free Rock Tribute Festival at St Mary’s Park, Prestwich, Manchester with some of the biggest tribute acts in Europe on two stages.
We asked you to simply tell us: Who was the American singer who briefly joined AC/DC for there last UK tour?
The answer was of course, Axl Rose formerly of Guns and Roses.
We had loads of entries but sadly there could only be one winner and the first name out of our fabled lucky hat was, Steve Chalkley who lives in Westhoughton but works in Salford and is a regular reader of SalfordOnline.com.
“I am delighted to have won the tickets, I never thought I would win, especially with my luck!
“The tribute acts really tick my box as they say, I have attended this concert in the past and had a great time.
“I will be taking a friend of mine with me, Paco who is from Spain he shares the same taste in music as me, so I’m really looking forward to the event, and dreading getting home at that time of night, but we will really enjoy ourselves I promise you”
