Salford Red Devils will open their Super 8s qualifiers campaign at home to Huddersfield Giants on Sunday 7 August.
Ian Watsons men will then travel to Leigh Sports Village to play the Centurions in what is also their only televised game of the campaign.
Last year’s game against Leigh in the Challenge Cup came at the height of Marwan Koukash’s legal dispute with Gareth Hock, with the second rower defying legal action in order to participate in the hosts’ 22-18 victory.
Salford will then face two Super League teams consecutively when they host Hull Kingston Rovers, before travelling to Headingley to face Leeds Rhinos on 2 September.
The Red Devils will then face the remaining Championship sides starting with Featherstone Rovers on 11 September, then hosting London Broncos the following Sunday.
Salford avoided a tricky long-distance away trip, courtesy of not finishing in the bottom two of Super LEague’s first phase, this also guaranteed Ian Watson’s men four home games.
The local outfit will then round up their campaign against Batley Bulldogs on 25 September.
Meanwhile, Swinton Lions will start their campaign away to Dewsbury Rams as they look to avoid relegation to League one.
John Duffy’s men will then host local rivals Oldham Roughyeds as their opening home game on 14 August, and wins in both opening ties should mean Championship rugby for another year.
Swinton will then travel to Sheffield Eagles in a rematch of their classic in March this year.
Sheffield came out 32-28 winners that day, but it proved that The Lions were more than capable to causing some upsets at Championship level.
Swinton then host Workington Town before facing the toughest test of their campaign when they face Bradford Bulls at the Odsall stadium on 4 September.
After missing out on a potential Super League return by two points, the only full-time side in the Championship Shield is the favourite to win the third tier of Rugby League’s second phase.
The Championship side will then host Halifax, before rounding off their 2016 campaign with a trip to Whitehaven.
