The Hub, a Salford community space, is opening its doors to the local community of Ordsall and Langworthy for a community fun day in August.
The facility is run by North West charity, the Together Trust, with the support of The Booth Charities. The Together Trust provides a wide range of support services including special education, fostering, residential, community and family support.
By working in partnership with people with complex health needs, disabilities and autism, they help support people to live the lives they choose.
The community event which will be taking place on Sunday 28 August 10am – 4pm is a chance for local residents to explore the facility and has activities for all the family.
There will be live music, a range of stalls, games, barbeque and a free raffle for a chance to win a weekend break to Blackpool.
Kevin Clarke, Service Manager for Community Services at the Together Trust, said: “We are welcoming local residents to come down to enjoy a fun family day at The Hub which is a real asset to the local community.”
The space was refurbished last year and boasts a safe outdoor play area, specialist bathing facilities and a commercial kitchen.
The facility which provides short breaks and support services for young people, can be booked and open seven days-a-week to provide local groups with the space to develop a range of activities and services for the local people of Salford.
