Friends of Lightoaks Park Family Fun Day – Saturday 13 August 2016 – 1pm to 4pm
Celebrating the launch of the park’s new Friends Group with a family friendly afternoon event. Includes nature trail, planting activities, face painting, bouncy castles, tea and cake, animals, dancing and children’s entertainment.
Please bring a picnic and walk to the event as there is no parking at the venue.

Eccles Makers Market – Saturday 13 August 2016 – 10am to 4pm
The Makers Markets lands in Eccles transforming Church Street into a hub of creativity and a haven for food lovers. On offer the creme de la creme of Northern treats alongside art, modern craft and vintage stalls.
There will be live music performances and a street food arena, making this a date you simply can’t miss.
Come on down and join in, this is something completely new and tasty for Eccles.
Your invite to Peel Park party – Saturday 13 August 2016 – 12 noon to 4pm
You might know that Peel Park is closing while it’s being restored to its former glory, but not before you’ve enjoyed a fabulous free afternoon of old-fashioned family fun!
You can enjoy music, archery, climbing, crafts and lots of traditional games on this day, don’t forget to bring your camera.

Lower Kersal Community Fun Day – Saturday 13 August 2016 – 11am to 3pm
Come along and enjoy face painting, bouncy castle, food, magician, live music, arts and crafts, football skills, Morris dancers, smoothie bike and more

Summer fete for Bridgewater School, Little Hulton – Sunday 14 August 2016 – 11am to 4pm at the Bridgewater Youth club
A Summer fete is being held this weekend in a bid to raise money for the Bridgewater Primary School, which sadly suffered from an arson attack in June.
There will be lots of games including a tombola, cakes and drinks and there will also be a performance from the StagePro Academy Worsley.
