Police and Crime Commissioner Tony Lloyd has opened the next round of funding through his Active Citizens Fund and local groups are being urged to apply.
Lloyd has £200,000 to spend with community groups who are working to reduce crime or anti-social behaviour in their local area.
In the last round of funding, some of the 20 local winners include MedaiCityUK-based Rio Ferninard Foundation, who took home over £27,000 to run its youth leadership projects; Salford Action for Autism scored £1,000 to support parents of children with autism, Salford CAB were awarded £5,000 to help train its volunteer advice workers and to recruit 10 extra domestic violence ‘champions’.
