To celebrate recent successes in becoming 2015 Winners of the Second Section of the Butlin’s Mineworkers Open Brass Band Festival and qualifying for the finals of the National Brass Band Championship of Great Britain after coming runners-up out of 16 bands competing in the second section of the North West regional championships, Eccles Borough Band are holding a concert at Eccles Town Hall.

This Saturday 21 March will see hundreds of scooters pass through Salford on their way to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital to donate Easter Eggs to sick children.
The Vesperados and Bolton Spartans will leave Leigh at 1pm and travel in convoy through Salford on the A6 through Little Hulton, Walkden, Swinton, Pendlebury, on to the A580 East Lancashire Road, riding past Salford University on Broad Street, on to Albion Way, then on to Liverpool Street over the A5060 towards Manchester.

The ever popular Eccles Farmers Market returns to the precinct where you can purchase, cheese, pies, olives, black puddings, coffee and lots more.

As part of National Clean Up Day Officers from Swinton North Neighbourhood Policing Team are doing a litter pick this Sunday 22nd March on Swinton Moss around the Fishing pond.
Access to the Moss can be gained from Fitton Crescent, Rosehill Rd, Moss Bank Rd & Moss Field Rd.
Bring wellies and protective clothing.
