Salford’s Ideal Recruit buys Neville Gee

Salford Quays industrial and business recruitment firm Ideal Recruit has bought out Burnley-based Neville Gee for an undisclosed sum.

Employing 12 staff, Neville Gee have been filling temporary and permanent job vacancies across the engineering and technical, industrial, financial, sales and aerospace sectors for over 40 years.

Ideal Recruit was founded in 2008 by Russell Jones and now operates from Quay Reach on Carolina Way.

This is their first acquisition in their ‘buy-and-build’ strategy in the recruitment sector.

Cowgill Holloway, led by Corporate Finance Partner, Paul Stringer and supported by Robin Prestage, advised Neville Gee Limited on the sale of the business.

A statement from Cowgill Holloway says: “The purchase of Neville Gee means they can now drive the business forward to achieve their ambition to become a UK leading provider of interim and fixed term contract staff.”

“Neville Gee is a perfect fit for Ideal Recruit, said Tim Oldfield, Director at Neville Gee, “and I am sure the wealth of knowledge and experience that Neville Gee team brings will assist with their future development.”

Commenting on the sale Paul Stringer said: “The firm has grown steadily since the early 1970’s in what is a highly competitive market. This deal will provide the new management team with the resources to further grow the business and develop new revenue streams.”

The vendors were advised by law firm Fielden Marshall Glover Strutt, while the buyers were advised by solicitors Bowcock Cuerden LLP.

Funding for the deal was provided by Bibby Financial Services.
