Spotted: Jeremy Kyle gets short shrift filming on Salford precinct

Daytime TV star Jeremy Kyle failed to attract the crowds today as he filmed on Salford precinct for his ITV show The Kyle Files.

He was spotted getting out of a black mini-bus with a film crew which parked up on Broadwalk near St Paul’s C of E Church, before moving up to Aldi on Heywood Way.

Backed by hulking security guards the controversial presenter approached members of the public to interview for his new show The Kyle Files, produced at MediaCityUK.

But he didn’t stay long – despite a four-strong team of bouncers guarding his every move he and his crew left after just 30 minutes trying to attract shoppers to talk.

The show’s publicist could not confirm what the topic of conversation was, nor when the Salford scenes would be broadcast, but said they were satisfied with the results.

The 50-year-old TV host was attacked with pepper spray in January while filming scenes for the show in Magaulf, Majorca.

A Romanian doorman was reportedly responsible for the assault, telling press he did it because Kyle was making the clubbing town “look s**t”.

In Manchester city centre yesterday the combative host drew crowds of hecklers as he approached young mums to ask about cocaine being found in baby changing areas in city centre stores.

The weekly show looks at high-profile issues from legal highs and drug abuse to knife crime and binge drinking in the young.
