A man has been found after falling to his death from the M60 Barton High Level Bridge in Peel Green, Salford.
Police were called at around 7.10am on Wednesday 15 July to reports that the man had been seen jumping from the bridge.
It happened on the anti-clockwise side of the motorway near Junction 11 for Eccles and Irlam.
Horrified rush-hour motorists saw the man’s car empty with the door open and police searching the edge of the busy carriageway overlooking the Manchester Ship Canal as they passed by.
Officers attended and found the body of a 35-year-old man.
Police do not believe that there are any suspicious circumstances.
A file has now been prepared for the Coroner’s Office.
