Stabbing in Ellenbrook outside Co-op


Police are holding a teenage suspect after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed outside a supermarket in Ellenbrook, Worsley.

The suspect, who is under 18, was arrested outside the Co-operative store on Morston Close in the village centre at around 10.15pm last night.

The teenage boy injured in the attack was knifed twice in the thigh and left very shaken.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to Salford Royal Hospital.

He is now recovering at home and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The suspect remains in custody for questioning.
