Police have released a CCTV image of a man who set fire to a bin and caused £750,000 worth of damage to an adjacent property.
At around 1.30am on Sunday 21 June 2015, a man approached the unit on the Sedgley Park Trading Estate and pushed a large bin in front of the door.
He then set it on fire, which spread from the bin and ripped through the nearby unit, causing £750,000 worth of damage.
There is no description of the offender.
Constable Dilesh Adesara: “I appreciate the picture does not allow for the best look at the offender, but it is the best we have and I am hoping it may jog the memory of anyone who was in the area at the time.
“This man has caused considerable damage and potentially put people’s lives at risk, although thankfully no one was hurt as a result.
“If you believe you recognise this man, or saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident, please contact police.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
