Salford-based construction firm ForWorks has been awarded two landmark social housing contracts as it continues to expand its operations across the region.
It has been appointed by Liverpool-based Pierhead Housing Association and First Choice Homes Oldham to deliver a range of repairs, maintenance and planned adaptation works.
A three-year contract with Pierhead Housing Association will see the contractor deliver major works and response repairs and maintenance, in addition to preparing void properties for letting and providing an out-of-hours emergency call out service across 800 of the landlord’s south Liverpool homes.
ForWorks’ contract with First Choice Homes Oldham, which runs until the end of October 2015, will provide reactive repairs to external fencing and roofing work, alongside plastering, brickwork, plumbing and joinery.
ForWorks was last known as City West Works, a subsidiary of Salford housing association City West Housing Trust.
It changed its name during a restructure in June 2015.
The ForViva group now oversees ForWorks, City West Housing Trust and Villages Housing Association.
Steve Parrington, Director of ForWorks, said: “Over the last two years the company has cemented a strong reputation for delivering a first class service to our social housing and commercial partners.
“Securing these contract wins marks another milestone in our ambitious growth plans and demonstrates we have the expertise, knowledge and resources to provide high quality professional services, which will also contribute to the positive transformation of more communities.”
