Police have confirmed they are investigating reports of a large-scale fight which broke out at the Duke of York pub in Eccles last night.
Officers were called to the Church Street venue at 11.10pm on Thursday 6 August.
One eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous, told SalfordOnline.com: “A scuffle started in the back room of the pub at around 11pm and then everybody seemed to join in throwing punches.”
Up to 15 people are said to have been involved in the brawl.
“There were tables, chairs and glass bottles being thrown,” they said.
“The fighting spilled out into the street and I saw two people lying on the floor, injured.”
“The police arrived and most people seemed to disappear.”
Greater Manchester Police added that no complaints were made when their officers arrived.
No arrests have been made.
Police are now studying CCTV footage to ascertain whether anyone should be arrested on suspicion of affray.
The Duke of York declined to comment.
